COSC 410: Applied Machine Learning
Description and Goals
This course provides a practical introduction to applied machine learning. Students engage in supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, including regression, decision trees, nearest neighbors, clustering, and ensemble methods. Students also learn deep learning techniques, including feedforward, convolutional, recurrent, and transformer neural networks. We will balance deeper understanding of the techniques with hands-on experience with machine learning for practical use.
