Final Project

The final project has two components:

  1. A slide presentation
  2. A final paper

Your final project grade is determined by the weighted average of your grades on the presentation (30%) and the paper (70%).

The presentation should guide the rest of the class through your linguistic process and the analysis you are proposing. Your presentation should be between 6-8 minutes long and you should expect a few questions from the audience. It will take place in class starting on Thursday Dec 4.

The final paper is a write up of your work, building on the data description and analysis you’ve already written. The paper should have four sections:

  1. Introduction
  2. Data Description
  3. Analysis
  4. Conclusion

The final paper is due at the end of our exam slot, which is Monday Dec 15 at 2:00PM.

A rubric for the poster presentation can be found here and a rubric for the final paper can be found here.
